Description

It was raining peapods that night,
And the moon was grinning in the sky.
The woodpecker that wore boxing glove
Was sitting on a pile of acorns
Hoot, hoot, the owl pointed the watermelon
while listening to his headphones.
As the mighty shark had fallen,
Tell me, how had it happened?

The first person to answer correctly will get 10 points.

Haha! Oh my gosh I love your little riddle that went with this piece XD I've been thinking about it for a while now but I can't seem to come up with a plausible answer. Did he try to steal the woodpeckers acorns and get shark punched in the nose with that boxing glove? Did that watermelon fall from the sky, bounce off the glove and clock him? I don't know but I still love it! The shark lying there in that tux is such a hilarious image, with the other two just sort of standing by as if this were a stage performance! The grinning moon reminds me of the Cheshire Cat, like he knows the clue to the riddle that the viewer does not! Like someone else said before it does feel like a children's book illustration. It has that wonderful timeless charm that great children's books have, it's such a lovely quality of your work :) Thank you so much for such a charming and fun entry! I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to reply ^^;
