Jesus said, "If those who lead you say, 'See, the Kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you. Rather, the Kingdom is inside of you, and it is outside of you. When you come to know yourselves, then you will become known, and you will realize that it is you who are the sons of the living Father. But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty and it is you who are that poverty."
Simple tricks to level up your watercolor painting:
1) use more than one color to color one thing. uh, i mean, you can see i use many colors to color the sea, but the overall shade is still blue. the same with the sky. the many colors add interesting shade to the painting.
2) white paint helps a lot! you can see i use a lot white paint to highlight edges of things. i also like to use thick white paint (only add a trickle of water) to mask over the watercolor i have painted. it will smoothen the watercolor edges, thus give softer feeling to the painting.
>>>you can use this artwork for free, BUT<<< 1) you can only use it for personal, non commercial purpose only (for exampple, to make blog header or avatar).
Beautiful. I'm not exactly religious, in the way that I mean that I believe in God, but I just don't know which one he/she/it is xD You know, like when you believe in a higher power and just name it "God" because that's what everyone else seems to be doing ;'D
Anyway, that saying is absolutely beautiful and it really made me smile there for a few seconds. Thanks for posting this wonderful work of art
thanks for the lovely comment^^ i'm glad it can make you smile, for me it's the biggest compliment if my painting can make people feel something^^
and yeah, sometimes choosing a religion might restrict "God" him/her/itself (i believe people should be spiritually mature before having one), so just keep on following what your heart believes
The gospel of Thomas is not in the bible and is not trustworthy. It also contains verses about Jesus that can't be true. It goes against what he talks about in the other Gospels. For example:
(Goslep of Thomas - not in the bible) "Jesus said to them, "If you fast, you will give rise to sin for yourselves; and if you pray, you will be condemned; and if you give alms, you will do harm to your spirits."
That's contrary to what the bible speaks about. Look at the part "do harm to your spirits". We have received but one Spirit, the Spirit of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit. Any other spirits are not from God!
And "if you pray, you will be condemned"? Is that true? No. I can clearly see that the Gospel of Thomas is written by men, a copy of the true gospels. It's confusing, not true and it brings confusion. It's a reason why it's not in the bible at all.
Stick to the bible, it's the only reliable book we have as Christians. It's the one book that is true and that we can trust is the true word of God. Is the bible written by men? Yes. But it says in 2 Timothy 3:16 this: All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. Did you see that? ALL scripture is given by inspiration of God. In other versions of the bible it says "all scriptures are God-breathed", and in my Norwegian bible, God-breathed means breathed in by the Spirit. Do not expect other so called "gospels" to be true, that is not in the bible. Ask God to reveal the truth as well .
It's my advice to you, luckynesu, that you don't post art like this, with other Gospels in a Christian group. Because the gospel of Thomas is not reliable. I'm sure it has nice stories and words and wisdom, but it's all taken and misinterpreted from the Bible, the source of Truth itself. It's better to get inspiration from the Bible
#ChristianCreativity is a group that accep any art that glorifies god. the work itself doesnt necesserally need to be christian themed. <<please read the group rule yourself<< that's why i put my arts there in the first place.
thank you for the compliment
i won't reply to any other point of your comment. talking to you christians is like banging my head into a wall. no fruit comes out of it, only headache. have a nice day
btw, i post my art there because i know art inspired by gospel of thomas will be rejected by mainstream christian club. but i think the art itself still qualify to "glorify God" : )

I whole-heartedly agree

It's true, we Christians say too much. We should talk less and love more! God bless you and your art.
God bless you too
